Thoughts For a Lifetime – Written Words The following are words that I have heard many times, they go something like “all good things come in small packages”. As I ponder this idea, I have a plethora of thoughts. For me, the following thought that pops up, is how many times have I quickly written down a thought for a possible book, lecture, or article. Many times, the thought is written on a small scrap of paper, or a notebook that I can retrieve immediately. For me, I know that if I don’t write the thought immediately, I may forget it, life just seems to get in the way. If I remember it later and then write it down, there is a very good chance that the emotional, intellectual, or spiritual meaning will lose some of my intentional drive to write it in the first place. Ok, so now I have these thoughts in various places but how do I proceed from this point; how do I organize myself? Something that helps me is to take each thought and write it out on a separate large index card. These cards are large and clear and easier to put in some order. This order helps my intellectual brain to access my feeling brain. In a sense this action helps me to integrate the thoughts and feelings to produce, in words, my original intention. Unfortunately, if I do not proceed as stated, I may lose the thought completely. Yes, I could write about the multiple reasons why “I do or do not” do the very thing I wanted in the first place. But today’s message is to help one to become AWARE of your action when it relates to writing. To summarize: those scraps of paper, for me, represent the thought that “all good things come in small packages”.
